Whitney Eve Is Coming To A Sportsgirl Near You

When I watched The Hills back in the day, I always wanted to be Whitney.

She was the least annoying and whiney and she had the best job. She also has the most amazing hair and I still try to copy her hairstyles a lot (see below). I will admit she is a bit of a style icon of mine.

Whitney Port became the first international designer to launch a collection at Australian Fashion Week at the end of April.

Whitney Eve and WE by Whitney Eve consist of pretty, feminine designs with lots of of florals and pastels. The range is aimed at young girls and reflects Whitney's personal style that we saw so much of in The Hills and The City.

I myself love a good blazer and a playsuit so the affordable range is right up my alley.

The good news is that the less expensive line WE by Whitney Eve will be coming to Sportsgirl in September so we can all have a little bit of The Hills.

While it may not be the most original range of designs, Whitney Port's collection is definitely very wearable and something I can see being a staple in my wardrobe.

Pastels & Pleats - Prada 2012

A photographer friend of mine sent me a link to this collection because he thought I would like these dresses.

He was not wrong.

The ad above and the below looks are from the 2012 Prada Spring Collection and I am in love with the pastel colour pallette but I also love the pleated chiffon and the way the shapes are classically elegant with their knee length silhouettes but so modern at the same time.

Unfortunately Prada is a little out of my price range so below are some more affordable Prada-esque looks.

1. Eva Franco Pastel Dress
2. ASOS Colour Block Bag
3. ASOS Lilac Skirt
4. Topshop Baby Pink Maxi Dress
5. ASOS Lavendar skirt
6. ZARA Green Pattern Dress
7. ASOS Cream Dress
8. ASOS Mint Green Heel
9. Eva Franco Pastel Dress
10. Topshop Lilac Dress
11. ASOS Pastel Shirt

Dress For Success - Sheike

We're pretty casual regarding what we wear in my office. We'll go from Camilla kaftans, to Liza Emanuele dresses, to Cue blazers and jeans.

However, because we don't have a traditional work 'uniform' one of my biggest challenges has become finding work clothes that are:

a) Fashionable
b) Reasonably conservative but still modern
c) Not black
d) Different from my 'weekend wardrobe'

Cue and SABA always have some gorgeous stuff but it is a bit out of my price range unless I really fall in love with something.

I love colour and I don't look good in black. Everytime I buy something black I regret it.

I was sent some images from Westfield a while ago and that's how I discovered the brand Sheike.

I've put a few of my favourite looks below.

What an amazing explosion of colour! Can you imagine if the whole office dressed like this? It would be like Summer all year round.

I love these looks because they can take you from day to night and when you have to attend a lot of after work events like I do, this is a huge benefit.

Best of all everything is under $200!

Unfortunately the only Sheike stores are in NSW so for now I'll have to shop online. Hopefully I can guess my size well enough to end up with something amazing!
